The East Neuk of Fife lies to the south of the Royal Burgh of Saint Andrews, home of Scotland's oldest university and the world-famous Royal and Ancient golf course. The area is noted for its interesting coastal villages, productive farmland, and historical association with Scottish fishing.
The 10cm tiles which form this tile panel were handpainted using Edinburgh Ceramics' tubeline and underglaze technique. Those who are familiar with the area will recognise the village street featured on these kitchen wall tiles.
